Class Announcements ![]() Read! Read! Read!Regular practice at home is essential for beginning readers. Please listen to your child read homework books every night. Look at the words while your child reads to check for accuarcy. Encourage your child to make the sounds of letters or word parts, to read on and reread, and to think about what makes sense when word-solving. Reading books a second time is helpful to improve fluency and comprehension. Retelling stories from beginning to end also helps your child concentrate on comprehension.
